BANGKOK, 29 August 2009 (NNT) - A low-pressure system covering the upper part of the Gulf of Thailand in combination with a southwestern monsoon will result in heavy rain the Central, Eastern, and Southern regions during the next 1 to 2 days, according to the Thai Meteorological Department.
People who live in disaster-prone areas such as foothills and lowlands should beware of flash floods for the next couple of days. Provinces susceptible to abundant rain and heavy rainfall include Ranong, Phang Nga, Chumphon, Phuket, Trang, and Satun.
Until tomorrow morning, heavy rain is expected in some parts of Bangkok with thundershowers in 70% of the city.
